Congratulations to the class of 2019

The class of 2019 at Uffculme School are celebrating today having excelled in their GCSE examinations and surpassed all expectations.

84% of students have attained the new “pass grade” in both English and Maths. 99% of students attained at least 5 GCSE passes across their chosen range of subjects with the average number of passes per student being 10.  A large number of students achieved at least one grade 7 or higher and we have seen a significant increase in the number of students attaining the top grades so that almost 40% of all grades awarded were 7, 8 or 9.

We are exceptionally proud of all the students collecting exam results today. As a year group, they have maintained a positivity and a work ethic that has clearly paid off. We are delighted that their hard work has been rewarded and that they will each now be able to move on to the next stage with deservedly excellent results.

The teaching staff also deserve a great deal of recognition and thanks for their skill and hard work in preparing students to sit these new examinations. There is no doubt that they have gone the extra mile to make sure that their classes have had excellent teaching, fantastic resources and a great deal of encouragement and support.
